If at all possible, try to attend the 2011 Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk Kick-Off Rally on September 8th. This drop-in event will be held at First Lutheran Church on Friendly Ave from 4-7pm and pizza will be served. We will be reviewing recruiter responsibilities, proceedures, and best practices for recruiting a team and raising funds and we will be registering teams online. Also, recruiters will receive their recruiter packets at this meeting (recruiter packets include walk papers, walker envelopes, deposit slips, t-shirt order information, CROP posters, CROP bulletin inserts, Walk the Web information brochures, as well as other CROP resources). If you miss the Kick-Off on the 8th, join us for the Kick-Off Follow-Up on September 13th from 11am - 1pm at Greensboro Urban Ministry on Lee Street.
If you are unable to attend either CROP Kick-Off, you may register your team online by clicking HERE. Then, contact the CROP office at 336.553.2656 to arrange to pick up your recruiter packet and to go over a brief orientation.
Lastly, have FUN! Remember, we are all in this to raise money to help feed those who are less fortunate.

How Do I Deposit Donations?
DO NOT BRING ANY CROP WALK DONATIONS TO THE WALK!
**We have changed banks! Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk is now banking with Wachovia!**
Encourage your walkers to turn in their donations to you ASAP - it is best if they are turned in BEFORE the Walk. Deposit all funds collected into the Wachovia CROP Walk account. Make sure to include your organization's name on the deposit slip - if you do not do this, we do not know who made the deposit. Deposit slips are included in your Recruiter's Packet. More deposit slips can be picked up at the CROP Walk office at Greensboro Urban Ministry, 305 West Lee St. The deadline to have all CROP funds deposited is December 31, 2011.
After the Walk: Collect all sponsor records from your walkers (used and unused). Turn in these and any other CROP Walk materials not used (ie posters, pamphlets, etc.) to the CROP Walk Office.
Thank everyone from your organization who supported the CROP Walk and report how much was raised.
Collect donations from Walkers as soon as possible - even before the Walk!
All checks should be payable to CROP Walk. Endorse all checks by writing "CROP" or "For Deposit Only" on the back.
If you receive a check made payable to your congregation or organization, endorise it for them, then write underneath: "For Deposit Only - Greensboro CROP Walk."
The deposit slip has two parts. To fill out, press firmly on a hard surface using a ballpoint pen. Keep the duplicate copy for your records.
Print the name of your congregation, organization, or group on the deposit slip. This will assure proper credit to your group.
List all checks separately for deposit. You may use an adding machine (attach tape) or list checks on a separate sheet of paper.
Additional deposit slips are available at the CROP Walk Office, Greensboro Urban Ministry, 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

How Do I Purchase T-Shirts, Hats, and/or Water Bottles?
T-shirts, Hats, and Water Bottles (BPA free) will be available after the CROP Kick-Off Rally on September 8th and at the CROP office after that date. Shirts are $3 each for orders of less than 100, and $2 each for orders of 100 or more. Water bottles are $3 each. Hats are $7 each. If you would like to purchase a shirt, water bottle, or hat(or shirts for your group) please contact the CROP office at 336.553.2656 (we will pull your order and have them waiting for you) or bring it in with your payment. Payment is due upon receipt of your items.
