2010 Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk Sponsors

We are asking local businesses and organizations to consider making a cash donation in exchange for advertisement space on the t-shirts that will be worn by the CROP Hunger Walk participants.

Consider donating to this worthwhile cause while gaining prominent recognition for your organization.  You can have your company name and/or logo proudly displayed on the event t-shirts.

The first decade of the 21st century (2000 – 2009) is now complete. During these 10 years, our nation has experienced some very “trying-times”. There was much turmoil in 2000 when the dot-com/technology market crashed, to be followed by the terrible terrorist attacks in September 2001, then the decade ended with the global financial system near collapse causing the deepest worldwide recession since World War II.

As we begin 2010, unemployment and poverty are at levels most of us have never experienced. Try and imagine how those in need must feel about the uncertainty of the future. Yet, there is hope and assistance both locally and worldwide with wonderful organizations like GUM (Greensboro Urban Ministry) and CWS (Church World Service), the organizations supported by the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk.

This year, we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk. Over the past decade the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk has raised over $4 million to help the less fortunate, with $1 million going to the Greensboro Urban Ministry Potter’s House Community Kitchen to feed people right here in Greensboro. This year we hope to meet our goal of $250,000 and we invite you and your company to help us by becoming a corporate sponsor. Because 100% of the funds collected by participating walkers are guaranteed to go to the designated hunger agencies, sponsorships are crucial to underwrite the cost of the event itself.  Sponsorships pay for event logistics, mailings, promotion, permits, and t-shirts.

For as little as $250, your company can become a Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk sponsor and know that you are making a difference in the community while receiving valuable advertising. For more information on sponsorship levels and the benefits of being a sponsor, please view the Sponsorship Flyer and then download the 2010 Sponsorship Form. We hope that you will join us in our efforts to help end hunger. If you have any questions, please call the CROP office at 336.271.5959 ext 339.

Thank you for your generous support.
