Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk

Please join us as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk!
Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty Celebrating 30 years of CROP, this year's Walk will focus on what CROP means - Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty - as we celebrate the 30 years that the Greater Greensboro area has worked to overcome poverty locally and globally. In those years, we have raised over $4 million to relieve poverty, with over $1 million staying in Greensboro to help feed the hungry through Greensboro Urban Ministry's Potter's House Community Kitchen.

Working together, We can stop hunger.  As the theme song for the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk states:  “There’s (food) enough, more than enough, enough for us, enough for everyone.”

Food for All Concert & CROP Kick-Off

The CROP Hunger Walk season will kick-off in a BIG way this year with a 24-hour fast and mock refugee camp at Christ UMC on August 27-28th. Area college students will fast for 24-hours in their self-built refugee camp to bring awareness to local and global hunger issues.

Following the 24-hour fast, everyone is invited to the Food for All Concert featuring Grace Reigns Down from First Lutheran Church, Mr. Christopher from Burundi, Spark from Christ UMC, and Bryan McFarland. During the concert, recruiters will have the opportunity to pick up their CROP materials and to have individualized training.

Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk is grateful to Jamie Dinkins for our 2010 Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk
T-shirt design. Jamie is a 20-year-old, third year student at GTCC majoring in Graphic Design with a certificate in photography. Jamie hopes to travel the world taking pictures
and telling stories about where she's been.
